Enchiladas without tortillas

  • 1 cabbage, white
  • 2 Chicken Breasts
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ½ large white onion
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 cup of cheese (optional, depending on your food guide)


For the Sauce
  • 5 red tomatoes
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • ½ large white onion
  • 1 pinch of cumin
  • 1 cup. Of the broth in which you cooked the chicken
  • Canned chipotle pepper, to taste
    Salt and pepper to taste


Step 1

Boil chicken breasts ½ onion, 2 garlic cloves and salt until they can be cut with fork. Shred them and set apart.

Step 2

Steam cabbage leaves, drain and set apart.

Step 3

Prepare the sauce: Boil all the sauce ingredients. When everything is cooked, blend them, previously peeling the tomatoes.

Step 4

Stuff the cabbage leaves with shredded chicken breast and a spoonful of salsa.

Step 5

Roll up and place in a baking pan in a single layer, cover with the sauce. Top with sour cream and/or cheese depending on the food guide you are following.

Step 6

Bake until cheese is melted and that’s it!!
